If you’re a beginner looking for a great stunt kite at a very reasonable price, then look no further than Dodd Gross’ New Tech Ignitor Kite. I just picked one up in China Town, and man– does it fly. It operates in 5-20mph winds, but beware that anything faster than that will rip the string or the kite.
This is a great kite for flying basically any time. As long as you’ve got a slight wind, you’re good to go. I’ve flown the XL 70′ Stunt Kite before, and it’s great for higher winds, but can barely get off the ground when it seems like it should be able to.
The Ignitor is light enough to fly, and there’s a good 50-60 hours I’ve flown mine without any trouble.
